If you’re opening an overflowing inbox this morning, make sure that you don’t fall for the latest scam being distributed widely by spammers.
Emails claiming that recipient’s accounts have been temporarily suspended are being seen around the world, attempting to trick users into believing that their email account has been accessed by somebody else.
The spammed-out emails [...]
New Spam with Malicious Attachment
WordPress 2.9 is out — here’s what’s new
We just upgraded about 7 of the blogs we take care of and not one issue. Hope you have the same good experience. Here’s a quick overview of what’s new:
For Mac Users: Some great apps for free
Every so often, the folks at MacHeist get together with a number of different application developers, bundle them all together, and sell them at a ridiculous discount. In the past, I’ve scored apps that I now live in (like TextMate). Well, there’s a new MacHeist happening but this time the price isn’t ridiculously low; it’s [...]
We’re headed to WordCamp NYC!
We’re off to camp! It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Wordpress. We have it loaded and ready to go for anyone that signs up for a hosting account over at ClearDev.net, and we’ve built our fair share of sites using Wordpress as a blatant blog or a clever CMS. Today we signed up [...]
Another one live – this one designed by The Company Standard
We just moved this over to the live server yesterday and we like the way it came out! This was designed by Melissa Gorman over at The Company Standard, and we coded it up. In the coming weeks we’ll build in a shopping cart and possibly a CMS, but we had to get it live [...]
Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, Kentucky
One of our super-clients, Jake Wheat, is at the Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, Kentucky this weekend promoting his upcoming production of “EVIL DEAD: The Musical”. When he first told us about his idea to put on the musical in Louisville, Kentucky, we thought it was a cool idea. Then, when he [...]
ClearDev Hosting Referral Program
For our amazing hosting clients, we’re extending the “ClearDev Stimulus Package” and making it an ongoing thing! You’ll be getting a new flier in the mail shortly, but in a nutshell:
For every person you refer to ClearDev, we’ll knock a third off your monthly hosting fee while they’re signed up and hosting with us. If [...]
A trip to ArtistsSpace
We stopped by ArtistsSpace this week to go over some database stuff. We built their artist registry a few years ago (http://afonline.artistsspace.org). Cool exhibition going on that included an office constructed of cardboard. Fully functional too – the receptionist relocated!
ClearDev in the NY Times! (kinda)
The New York Times ran an article today covering the 9-11 Memorial Foundation’s next steps, and we played a pretty big roll behind the scenes!
The development of the National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center is far enough along that officials are now asking the victims’ next of kin to confirm [...]
Stinkin’ badges
We’ve been meaning to make badges for some time, plus we get a number of requests for them. FINALLY, they should be ready early next week. I’ll post them individually with a code snip if you want to pull them from our server. Let us know if you like them, hate them, or, worst of [...]
